Hash Trash for Run No. 1301 - 17 June 2005

Hello Hasher

Halboun was once again the location of our last hash. Walkers and Runners took off in opposite directions, but both heading for a steep climb straight up the mountain. For some walkers this was too much in the sweltering sun, so they turned back halfway up the mountain . Some didn’t even attempt the climb, and made their own hash route. It was a small group this time with only about 7 cars, but we didn’t want to break with the tradition of the DHHH convoy mishaps, so we still managed to loose each other on the road  . Praise be to mobile phones . Runners were not clear on how many holds were on their trail, and how many checks , and by the end of the run, they still didn't know  . Only one virgin this time, and a special farewell down-down & T-shirt for Miss Coordination.

This weeks hash is another weekend hash, this time in White Sands:

Date: 24 & 25 June 2005, Friday & Saturday

Where: The White Sands

Run: There will be a run and walk on Friday evening followed by the usual circle

Price: 300L per person

Details:

Meet in the car park at the Al Jalaa Hotel on the Mezzeh Autostrada from 3:00pm for a 3:30pm departure in shared transport travelling in convoy.

Travelling time from Al Jalaa to the run site will be around 1.5 hours.

Beer, softies and food will be provided after the run but people are welcome to bring their own BBQs, food, etc., to do their own thing if they want to.

There will be a campfire and more beer and merriment into the night for those who want to stay and camp out but people are free to leave at anytime and return home if they don't want to stay the night.

Not everyone will be staying the night so there will be rides back to Damascus for those who want to go on the hash but don't have their own transport and don't want to stay the night. We will try to organise this before we leave Al Jalaa.

Those who are staying the night are responsible for bringing their own camping gear and whatever they want for breakfast in the morning.

Tip from 2 fishes: bring lots of drinking water!!!

On-On,

Salwa.
