Hash Trash for Run No. 1319 - 21 October 2005

... in a Barada Valley valley, a new site discovered with unusual ingenuity by your Hares Little John and Blanka.

No convoy mishaps this time, thanks to the caring Hares, who sacrificed a well needed rest and went way back to wait for the cars at a point, from which the going might have posed a shadow of a challenge.

As to the Hash itself: OK, I am biased, as Rowdy confessed once, when HE was Hare, but it was an excellent one: the site was stunningly beautiful and the run exhausted both runners and walkers (the latter very quickly, except for the temporarily incapacitated runner Dean, who chased the walkersī Hare around until they got back to met with the first runners in (Wise Pranker and Horse's Arse came in)).

In fact, the run was so great, that it left the runners speechless from admiration at the Haresī down down - or so the Hares assumed. But it may have been from lack of breath. As your trasher herself lacks sufficient superlatives to describe it, and as there were no virgins and just two more down downs (Marcelo and Cynthia for returnees, and Pearse - the one with a piercing voice - for gnawing on bones (animal, it is to be hoped) for want of the usual fruit, this trash will be a little shorter than usual. (You donīt have to heave sighs of relief quite so loudly!).

The ice is probably still there intact, as it got bitterly cold after the sun disappeared - even the hardy Anglo-Saxons (Little John and Rowdy), put on an extra cover.

The company was again small and select, though of different composition: there was not a Finn in sight. I hope they had not taken offence at the previous trash; if so, I sincerely apologize and am sure everybody will be happy to see them again next time, even if they are four (or more).

To sum up, it was a feel pleasantly tired hash.

P.S. We shall have to manage without out Religious Adviser for awhile, as he is going to the greener (but fig-less) pastures of Ireland, and we wish him a good trip and a safe return.

On on Blanka (did I hear "relentless"???)
