Hash Trash for Run No. 1324 - 25 November 2005

The previous Friday we danced on the Hash, this last Friday some of the Hashers made a hash of the St. Andrew ball....

The Hash itself almost didn't take place (Wise Pranker and Cunning Stunt should try to be more wise and less cunning in future and stop passing the directions to each other in Aramaic: Cunning Stunt, ear pressed to his mobile, took the convoy on an extended tour of Telfita, before finally leading it to a lovely new Hash site in the hills above, with a novel view of Jebel-al Sheikh, glistening with this yearīs first snow. The runners and walkers turned up in about equal number and both enjoyed their run/walk.

2 Fishes introduced his Cyprus song again for the downdown of the Hares (Sawsua and Wise Pranker), who got so absorbed in listening to it that they forgot to start drinking at the beginning of the count-down and consequently did not manage to see the bottoms of their tankards.

The Finns were down to 1, + 1 temporary, the latter proving to be an exceptionally eloquent Finn at the virgins downdowns. Another virgin, called one of the variations of the name Mohammed, came to us from Egypt, about the third one I only remember he was hooded and aged 25. The returnee Antoine was punished for thinking, and therefore running, independently, a dangerous deviation, that should not be imitated (on the Hash or elsewhere). Other, minor sins, like wearing sun-glasses, were passed over by the Religious Adviser, who was in a hurry to take himself and his cold home - the weather was beautiful but chilly and Paulīs motherīs hot lentil soup was not only delicious but also helped to alleviate the shivers.

Still, the cold chased everybody away quite early but some were later reunited, changed beyond recognition in their tuxedos, kilts and evening gowns, at the above mentioned ball, where a great time was had by all.

On on, Blanka
