Hash Trash for Run No. 1340 - 17 March 2006 The Saint Patrick's Day Run

Site: between the "yellow canyon" road and Monte Rosa, first used by Hares Blanka and Neal on the 6th of January this year, but taking a slightly different route and having the circle at a site free of rubbish. The digging activity going on there on arrival luckily ceased before the Hashers' return, so the circle was held in an utter privacy.

Down downs, administered with a green beer honouring the St. Patricīs Day: a preliminary one for Yobbish Behaviour for being connected, followed by one for the Hares (Madek and White Trashed, who should be re-christened Red for wearing the red Snow hash attire instead of the green as recommended by the Web Master), and one for the three male virgins, locally bred Joseph and Hussein, and an import from Italy, Bernardo, who, with his longish hair and abundant moustache, was only missing the barrel of rum around his neck to be a passable image of the St. Bernard dog - the rescuer of lost Alpine Hashers. White Trashed was given another down down for his parking skills. The returnees were Gilda (?) and Sharif, the latter for the third time in so many months. The shortcutters of the day were the "twins" Peter and Zila (who should have won a price for dressing up in identical special St. Patrick issue T-shirts), and the "pink" Lady (who was for once wearing green).

Some alert hashers spotted the brand new shoes of the RA Littlejohn and he skillfully downed the green beer from one without a murmur, seemingly even enjoying it. The highlight of the down downs, however, was the christening of Seli, performed with a toilet brush over a hat of something unmentionable, produced for the occasion, as if by magic, by Sharif. Her Hash name turned out to be almost equally unmentionable, but has to be mentioned, for the record: Ball Crusher.... the RA thought it up, following her beating all the male runners to the circle site.

There did not seem to be any sinners worthy of sitting on the ice, despite it being invitingly tinted green. The fire would have been more useful - though the rest of Syria, or at least the Saboura Shell Club and Jaafour, was bathed in sunshine, the Hash site was permanently obscured by dark clouds and everybody was shivering, despite the bracing brown bean and spicy sausage soup, courtesy of guess who.
