Fantastic sunny weather, as I can testify by the sunburn on the back of my neck. Out by Lake Zar Zar again. The start of the hash was delayed somewhat by technical problems - a car break down on the way resulted in hare Ryan doing his good deed for the day and rescuing the damsels in distress who were left by the roadside. Great turn out too - 13 runners and at least 15 walkers.
After many misleading statements from the hare (about laying the trail with chocolate instead of paint - I for one was deeply disappointed to find this wasn't true, crossing the Lebanese border and having to negotiate minefields) the only hazards worth mentioning were a couple of very vocal sheepdogs and an angry farmer's wife. Otherwise a typical Ryan trail - long and plenty of running - excellent.
After Ryan received his well deserved down down (and Paul for the walkers) we had a plethora of punishments: many virgins today - Horst, Anthea, Gennady, Elizabeth, Peter, Steve, Caroline & Pete; and returners Amina, Sousan & Ida. Marty got his Hare T Shirt for setting 5 runs. Arthur was feeling particularly sadistic today and handed out down downs left, right and centre. Those I can remember/decipher from this piece of paper are: Yvonne for cruelty to animals (no, not her husband but the dog); Marty for finding the trail and keeping it a secret; Lynn, Daria, Maria & Gert or sex on the hash - the DVD will be released next week; Gert again for not holding at a hold check; Gennady & Rafi for new shoes - bet they wished they's washed their feet that morning; Pete for trying to be an FRB on his first hash.
On on
