Hash Trash for Run No. 1424 - 28 September 2007
A
small but select crew of Hashers celebrated the last of the Summer runs
at Zar Zar (does anyone remember Hector's House, a Brit kids programme
from the '70s? that had a frog called Zar Zar...anyway, I
digress). Hare Greg set a trail that can best be described.... by
someone else. But I'll give it a go anyway.
After a good start, high winds and hungry goats made the paint vanish
(I wasn't the only one following goat poo instead of paint!). The hare
couldn't find his own trail - more than once. The first hold
check vanished into the bleak dessert so we skipped it and went
straight to number two (dessert is fattening anyway). For a while
each blob of paint turned into a check as the goat/wind/goat with wind
problem wiped out the others nearest to it.
At the half way mark things improved (by half) and we took a detour
through some shallow trenches that are no doubt being prepared in case
of invasion by midgets. From there it was a gentle downhill slope
back to the cars. Greg used the tried and tested approach of a
strong finish to try and make us forget the shaky start. It
didn't work.
With only a few people there the scope for down downs was small.
Greg and Sausan (for the walkers) were refreshed. With no virgins
or returners (unless you count returning from last week) it was on to
the crimes. Greg was called out again for crimes too numerous to
mention, Paul and Rafi, the half hearted ones, for vanishing after 20
minutes. Er... that was it - you'll have to be more naughty next
week.
For next week's run we are back to the Winter schedule - leave Al Jallaa at 12:30
Dont forget Kasab Hash on 1-2 November. Get a flyer from Rafi or check the website.
