Not much detail this week as I forgot to get the list of who done what from Arthur. If I miss you out, sorry!
Run 1430 (or half past two in British time) was set by Paul
somewhere I didnt get the name of. However, it was a new place and had
some nice views. Despite all the practice he gets at setting trails
Paul still offers a challenge to us all. This time we actually had
some of the false trails marked (I hope someone took a photo!) but
after a while he got bored with that. Paul's latest version of a false
trail is to abandon the real trail without any indication and start it
again somewhere else in a completely different direction. Apart from
that there were 2 hold checks (you could have seen the cars from the
first one if you had stood on someone's shoulders... that should have
earned a down (half a down down) at least) and 2 other checks.
The pack shrank as the trail went on - Rafi disappeared with Lisa
from the walkers to explain the ins and outs of hashing, Greg headed
back early unable to control his bowels (don't you know what "hold"
check means?) and yours truly helped Sara to go down hill and we got so
far behind we ended up ahead. Only Greg escaped a down down later on
despite - but Arthur got him for somethign else as you will see.
Down downs to the hares Paul & Gabrielle for the walkers,
newcomers Lisa & 2 others (Nepal & Switzerland - those
mountains will come in useful for Arthur's runs) whose name I didnt
get, returners Arthur and Mandy. Punishments to Leon, whose dog can't
tell the difference between a lamppost and a hasher, Greg who can't
decide whether he is a hasher or a lamppost, Rafi, Lisa, me & Sara
for sex on the hash, Guido (twice - for finding the false trails as
usual and for getting lost on his way out of the circle after the first
down down - that second one is not really true, I just cant remember
what the real reason was...), Arthur & Paul for something else
(maybe Arthur wanted a beer and someone to drink it with...).
Gabrielle & Richard for insisting on champagne (Barada brand?) - or
maybe some other reason, the memory grows dim after all this time.
Next week's hash will be set by Arthur (and possibly me) so bring your climbing ropes.
