A beautiful day for a run (or a walk) with a good number of runners and a few walkers. It takes a while to get to Halboun but it is worth it when you get there. It was a good job we only had four cars as these quickly filled the available space leaving us with room for the smallest circle ever. Good job we are all friends.
The trail was long and hard. One and a half hours with a very steep hill to start with soon sorted the men from the boys (or girls from the ladies). Evidence of how hard a trail came when Andrew fell over half way through and had to limp home and Hanne who kept on falling behind because his shoes couldn't take the punishment of the broken ground. Richard also decided to join the ever growing lobby of environmentalists by deciding not to lay too much paint and having a live run half way through the trail. I think it was only because he was tired having just set the trail, and with him as the hare he could dictate the pace so give him a rest. Another person desperately in need of a rest was Paul who as usual decided less than half way round that it was too much for him. This decision was made immediately we turned away from the cars prompting an anxious Paul to go and check to see if his wagon was still there. There was really no need for that as Rafi who did turn up decided at the beginning that he would neither run or walk so he babysat the cars instead. As the circle was held in a fruit field there was little in the way of wood to use for the fire and with the setting of the sun behind the hills it got cold very quickly which prompted a hasty departure.

Crimes:
Paul - yet again for not finishing
Rafi - for not even starting
Casey - for falling over and stupidly grabbing a thorn bush for support
Richard - for introducing a live hare run then not leading it
Hanne - for coming in a pair of shoes not fit for the run as they were completely destroyed by the end
Casey - for spending a inordinate amount of time looking for girls
Andrew - initially for standing on the paint at a check but then for destroying the check in an attempt to hide the evidence

Hares next week: Arthur and Martin
